The Association of Otolaryngologist of India Bhubaneswar Branch was established in 2013. It’s an association of like minded surgeons having a common aim in enhancing the surgical skill and knowledge of our fraternity by sharing each other’s experiences and through various scientific events. It was initially started by the effort of our first President Dr. S S Kar, Secretary Dr. D Panigrahi and Vice President Dr. K K Samantray. We annually conduct successful conferences to upgrade the knowledge of our colleagues. First two conferences were conducted by Dr. S Gupta (Apollo Hospitals Bhubaneswar), 3rd one by  Dr. R Padhy (Sparsh Hospitals) and 4th one by Dr. S Swain (SUM Hospitals). We have conducted various surgeries in the workshops from basic to advance covering all aspects of the subject. In the conferences we have Orations, Lectures, Surgical Demonstrations, Cadaveric Dissections, PG papers, Quizs and Posters. Every year we felicitate two eminent ENT surgeons across the state in our conferences. The monthly clinical meetings of the chapter provide an effective forum to the surgical fraternity to not only discuss cases but a forum to bond with one another and develop lasting camaraderie. Currently our membership number has reached 60 and its rapidly increasing. Under the visionary guidance of our seniors we are growing from strength to strength. It is satisfying to note that the current generation of leaders are carrying forward the agenda of the visionaries and adding their own creativity on the way. We hope to continue forward the rich tradition in the times to come.
